Apr 16, 2015 (newstodate): A decline in Norway's airfreight market is resulting in a change in aircraft types by one leading integrator.
Rather than operating freighter aircraft including Boeing 757, Tupolev 204 and Boeing 767 on the route to Oslo Gardermoen Airport, TNT Airways is operating the smaller Boeing 737 and BAe 146 freighters during the current summer period.
Norway's main airfreight commodity, seafood continues to boom in volumes but this cargo is not carried by integrators. Other industrial sectors including the country's oil and gas sector are at a lower pace during the current economical phase.
