Apr 30, 2015 (newstodate): Icelandair is taking delivery of another Boeing 757-200 aircraft.
Since January 2015, the aircraft has been stored in the USA after serving with American Airlines since 1991.
With this latest addition, Icelandair will have a fleet in summer 2015 comprising 26 Boeing 757-200 including two freighter aircraft, and one Boeing 757-300 aircraft.
As their leasing periods expire by the end of autumn 2015, two of the Boeing 757-200 passenger aircraft will be replaced by two Boeing 767-300 aircraft, with delivery slated for spring 2016.
