Apr 29, 2015 (newstodate): After folding its wings by the end of 2014, the Ukrainian carrier YanAir is now preparing to relaunch services.
Starting from June 6, 2015, the carrier will be operating flights on the route from Kiev and Odessa to Batumi, in Georgia, initially offering two weekly rotations and adding a third weekly flight from July 2, 2015.
Plans are further to start services on the route between Kiev and Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, "in the near future".
YanAir was established in 2012 and performed its first flight on August 28, 2013, operating domestic flights in Ukraine from Kiev.
The airline suspended its operations in 2014, citing inadequate demand and lack of profitability on its route network.
In the fleet are two Saab 340 aircraft, three Airbus A320 and two Boeing 737 aircraft.
