Apr 22, 2015 (newstodate): To support a new contract with UPS, the Danish cargo carrier Star Air has taken delivery of another Boeing 767-200 freighter.
Earlier operated by ABX Air, the aircraft is now joining the fleet of Star Air that already comprises 11 Boeing 767-200 freighters serving on its contract with UPS.
In 2014, Star Air again won the UPS contract for another 10-year period.
Owned by the Danish A.P. Moller Maersk Group, the carrier also operated one Boeing 767-300 freighter on a lease agreement with GECAS from April 2014, but this aircraft was handed back to the leasing company in January 2015 by the expiry of the contract.
