Apr 29, 2015 (newstodate): Many airlines are cutting, or reducing their flights to Russia during the current unstable situation between Russia and west.
As one latest example is Delta Air Lines that will stop its seasonal summer flights between New York and Moscow earlier than planned, with the last flight on September 30, 2015, rather than by the end of the summer schedule.
A range of other airlines have already reined in on their services to Russia, such as Thai Airways that has canceled flights from Bangkok to Moscow, Cathay Pacific from Hong Kong to Moscow, S7 from Moscow to Helsinki, EL AL from Tel Aviv to St Petersburg, Aigle Azur from Paris to Moscow, Niki from Vienna to Moscow, Germanwings from Dusseldorf to Moscow, Wizzair from Kiev to Moscow, and Rossiya that has suspended a number of flights from St Petersburg to CIS countries.
Other carriers have reduced frequency, such as easyJet on flights from the UK, SAS from Denmark and Sweden, SWISS from Switzerland, Wizzair from Hungary, and Etihad Airways from UAE.
