Apr 27, 2015 (newstodate): Air Lituanica is operating in a demanding environment requiring strict management of resources pending final solutions its future financing.
This reflects on all spheres, including fleet utilization and planning.
-As for the aircraft fleet, we are currently operating with different wet-leases including an Embraer E-170 from Estonian Air. In the longer term we would most probably go for Embraer jets, preferentially the E-175 that offers an extra 10 seats and thus lower seat-mile costs, while the Embraer E-195 might be an option for the future.
-And in the future we would of course like to operate the aircraft fleet under an own AOC, says Simonas Bartkus, Air Lituanica CCO.
-In 2015 we will be adding a second E-175, but I do not envisage more aircraft to enter our fleet this year, he says.
