Mar 11, 2015 (newstodate): Ukraine's Kiev Borispol Airport has commissioned a further addition to its cargo terminal capabilities.
The latest addition is a new cold storage room with a freezer keeping the temperature between two and eight degrees, allowing for the processing of perishables and bringing the terminal's total cold storage capacity to 360 cubic meters.
Already in place are temporary storage warehouses for general cargo, specialized warehouses for storage of dangerous goods including radioactive waste, a covered area for out-size cargo, specially allocated places for short-term accommodation of animals, and a safe for storage VAL.
The 14,580 sq m cargo terminal is designed for handling of some 30,000 tonnes annually.
