Mar 18, 2015 (newstodate): A cooperation project is underway between Moscow Cargo and Cargo Terminal Pulkovo.
The aim is to work out a common rates structure for handling of cargo at the two terminals as well as joint marketing and sales efforts.
Based at Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport, Moscow Cargo handles more than 100,000 tonnes of cargo annually, with ABC Airlines as one significant customer airline.
In 2014, Pulkovo Airport introduced an incentives scheme to lure foreign carriers to launch freighter traffic at the airport that is today seeing only Korean Air operating scheduled freighter services.
Through a cooperation, the two partners might constitute a unified logistics system enabling Moscow Cargo to bring Korean Air Cargo's shipments of electronics, manufacturing equipment and consumer goods into the capital region, while ABC Airlines' shipments at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport might be distributed via the St Petersburg-based Cargo Terminal Pulkovo.
