Mar 09, 2015 (newstodate): The Swedish Transport Administration, Trafikverket, has abrogated existing contracts with the Estonian carrier Avies Sweden and annulled the opening of further routes planned from this year.
The current contract would run till the end of October 2015, and plans for routes to be served by Avies Sweden till October 2019 will also be cancelled.
Behind the decision is a number of irregularites, cancellation of flights and other issues that have raised strong criticism of the carrier in the Swedish market.
Instead, Trafikverket has contracted the Swedish carrier Jonair and the Danish carrier Flexflight to take over services on the affected domestic routes.
