Mar 06, 2015 (newstodate): Lithuania's international ground handling and aircraft fuelling provider, Baltic Ground Services is to expand its presence in the Polish market by signing a seven-year cooperation agreement with Radom-Sadkow Airport.
According to the agreement, the company's Polish subsidiary Baltic Ground Services Poland is appointed as the official supplier of aviation fuel for airlines which are due to operate from the airport opened for commercial aviation only in May 2014, and approved to service Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 aircraft types.
Formerly an air force base, Radom-Sadkow Airport has one 2,500m runway but is still to see the arrival of its first airline.
In spring 2011, BGS opened Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport as its first Polish station and is now also providing ground handling services at five other airports in Poland - Krakow, Wroclaw, Gdansk, Poznan and Katowice.
