Mar 16, 2015 (newstodate): Moscow is to have its fourth international airport at Ramenskoye, opening by Q4, 2015.
The new international airport will primarily serve a number of Russian institutions and ministries as well as low-cost traffic, and it will be implemented in three stages growing the airport from two million passengers in its first stage, continuing in stages to serve five mio passengers annually as well as comprising a range of other services including hotels and office space.
In January 2014, Lithuania's Avia Solutions Group and Russia's state-owned Rostec Group entered a JV to develop and manage Moscow's fourth international hub - Ramenskoye Zhukovsky Airport.
Avia Solutions Group will invest over USD 30 million into the company's share capital and control up to 75 percent of the newly established company stocks.
Ramenskoye Zhukovsky Airport has two runways, one of which is the longest in Europe - 5,400m.
