Mar 25, 2015 (newstodate): After a prolonged rather "dry" period in Sweden's air cargo industry, good news are now on the table.
Starting from the end of March 2015 with the new summer schedule, Korean Air Cargo will increase frequency on its freighter service between Korea and Sweden by one weekly rotation, going up to three with Boeing 747-400F aircraft.
Korean Air Lines Cargo made its first entry at Stockholm Arlanda from August 24, 2006, with two weekly rotations from Seoul Inchon Airport by cutting two of five rotations until then at Denmark's Copenhagen Airport.
The third frequency at Stockholm from end of April is also a move from Copenhagen Airport that will thus have no Korean Air Cargo freighter flights during the summer schedule.
Along the same positive line, the Russian cargo carrier AirBridgeCargo is also announcing the addition of one more Boeing 747-8F flight from Malmo Airport to Moscow, thus going up to two weekly services.
Since April 2014, ABC Airlines has called once weekly at Malmo Sturup Airport as an en-route stop on the route between Amsterdam and Moscow, in addition to the freighter traffic by the Volga-Dnepr subsidiary Atran's weekly Boeing 737-400F freighter flight since January 9, 2014.
