MAr 20, 2015 (newstodate): Finnair is to launch flights to two new destinations in Sweden from this summer.
The new flights to be launched by May 18, 2015, will connect Helsinki with Umeaa and Luleaa, both in northern Sweden and housing significant communities of Finnnish-speaking citizens.
Besides serving the communities with onward flight connections via Helsinki to other Finnish destinations, the new routes will also connect to Finnair's Asian routes.
The routes will be served by flyBe Finland's ATR 72 aircraft on Finnair's route numbers.
Also from summer, Finnair will take over routes previously marketed by Flybe Finland from Helsinki to Visby on Gotland Island and to Norrkoping in central Sweden.
