Mar 05, 2015 (newstodate): Dreams of establishing a "national carrier" in Lithuania are again surfacing.
Speaking to media, the country's prime minister maintains that the government has several plans for recreation of a national carrier, but no further details will be announced before after the upcoming mayoral elections at Vilnius.
The PM also said that the state would talk to any serious investor but the state would not go it alone.
It remains unclear if the country's new carrier, Air Lituanica would be the core of a future national carrier.
Air Lituanica performed its first commercial flight on June 30, 2013, filling part of the void left after the demise of the country's former national carrier, FlyLAL in January 2009.
