Mar 02, 2015 (newstodate): Only one of Russia's Top-5 cargo carriers managed to lift volumes in January 2015: AirBridgeCargo.
The carrier, topping the list as usual, grew its volumes in January by 22.7 percent, y-o-y, to 43,290 tonnes, while the four other top-rated airlines all shared negative growth.
#2, Aeroflot was thus down 13.4 percent, y-o-y, to 8,390 tonnes, #3, Transaero dropped 33.7 percent to 2,696 tonnes, #4 S7 Sibir was down 21.8 percent to 1,917 tonnes and #5, Volga-Dnepr dropped 30.7 percent to 1,915 tonnes.
Together, the five top carriers thus lifted 58,208 tonnes of cargo, still up 7.3 percent thanks to ABC alone.
The country's 35 carriers included in the cargo statistics generated a total of 69,345 tonnes of cargo - an increase by 6.7 percent, y-o-y.
