Feb 27, 2015 (newstodate): In April 2010, the Turkish ground handling company Havas bought 50 percent of the shares in Latvia's North Hub Services, established in 2009 by Baltijas Aviacijas Sistemas.
Now celebrating its first five years in airport handling, Havas Europe has since spread its activities to include the German market, now providing handling services also at the airports of Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin Tegel, Hamburg, Stuttgart and Dusseldorf.
Havas Europe set foot on its first German base, Frankfurt Airport, on March 26, 2012, and moved its HQs from Riga to Frankfurt at the same time.
The latest addition by Havas Europe was Stuttgart Airport from August 2012, which rounded off the series of new openings.
In 2014, Havas Europe provided handling services to approximately 50,000 flights.
