Turkish Cargo has started to operate three scheduled cargo flights per week between Budapest and Istanbul.
Depending on the volume of goods, the carrier operates the route with an Airbus A310F or an A330-200F, transporting 38-64 tonnes of cargo per flight.
Turkish Airlines Cargo launched its freighter service between Istanbul and Budapest Ferihegy Airport on July 18, 2011, initially offering one weekly rotation.
Since then, the carrier has seen a steady growth in the airfreight market between Istanbul and Hungary, increasing its volumes on the route by nearly 30 percent in 2014, to some 3,500 tonnes.
Turkish Cargo primarily delivers textiles and electronics products manufactured in the Far East to Hungary, and take pharmaceutical and machinery products, as well as electronic products made in Hungary, to Turkey.
