Feb 03, 2015 (newstodate): SAS has named the future managing director of the new carrier to provide regional flights in Europe.
Coming from his current position with the Danish Transport Authorities and formerly with SAS Commuter is Kent Hansen who will take the chair from March 1, 2015.
The new, yet unnamed, airline will receive 12 CRJ900 aircraft from SAS and continue the role so far played by Cimber A/S that has served as a provider to SAS operating four CRJ200 aircraft on regional routes.
The existing Cimber A/S aircraft fleet will be phased out, and staff for the new carrier will be recruited as Mr Hansen takes the lead together with a new management team also to be selected shortly.
