Feb 03, 2015 (newstodate): Plans for opening of flights between Croatia and China seem to be close to realization from this spring already.
Behind the plans is the organization the Chinese Southeast European Business Association, CSEBA, and talks with the Chinese party have now reached a conclusive stage.
Thus the intention is to launch flights between Zadar in Croatia and Chongqing in China already from late February or early March 2015, driven by Chinese tourist groups but catering to business travels as well.
Four rotations per months are envisaged, while the airline to operate the flights has not yet been announced.
CSEBA furthermore eyes increased Chinese interest in the Croatian carrier Croatia Airlines that will be privatized in 2015, and both Hainan Airlines and China Southern Airlines are seen as potential parties to a deal with the Croatian state over the national carrier.
