Feb 22, 2015 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic is now preparing for taking the next step in the process of acquiring the fleet of new Bombardier CS300 aircraft.
The carrier will launch a tender for a leasing contract covering the 13 aircraft ordered in July 2012.
The RFP, Request For Proposals, will be opened in September 2015, and thereafter the carrier will shortlist the offers for final negotiations and conclusion of a contract with the selected leasing company.
airBaltic has now been assured by Bombardier that deliveries of the CS30 aircraft will start from September 2016
Besides the firm orders, airBaltic also holds options for a further seven aircraft that may be converted to CS100 versions, if warranted.
