Feb 16, 2015 (newstodate): So far a staunch operator of Boeing aircraft, Norwegian is to take in the first of 100 A320neo aircraft ordered already from 2016.
The carrier's debut with Airbus A320 aircraft is, however, imminent: Norwegian has contracted the Danish capacity provider DAT to operate an Airbus A320 on its domestic route in Denmark, connecting Karup, in Jutland, with Copenhagen.
The Airbus operation will start from March 2 and run till March 27, 2015, after which date DAT will take over the route itself as Norwegian has announced its decision to pull out.
The flights are currently operated with an ATR72-200, wet-leased from DAT as well.
