Feb 02, 2015 (newstodate): The Danish carrier and ACMI operator DAT has postponed plans for introducing Airbus A321 aircraft in its fleet.
DAT's CEO, Jesper Rungholm, earlier told newstodate that fleet plans included the acquisition of one or two Airbus A321 from this summer already.
-We have, however, decided not to add the A321 at the moment, says Mr Rungholm.
-We have realized that this would put excessive stress on the organization at the time, ahead of the coming busy summer season, so plans have been postponed while not shelved, says Mr Rungholm.
DAT is continuing to build up its fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft, with one aircraft to join commercial service from this week. Immediate plans also call for adding one further aircraft later in 2015.
Actually, the carrier had already negotiated a deal for this fourth Airbus A320 - but eventually the agreement was not completed.
During the coming summer season DAT will be operating four Airbus A320 and to MD 83/87 aircraft.
