Feb 11, 2015 (newstodate): The Croatian government has long worked hard to attract new owners for its national carrier Croatia Airlines.
A renewed effort is now made by contracting the International Finance Corporation, IFC, to find a strategic partner for Croatia Airlines by the end of the year.
The airline's privatization was again on the agenda when the government reopened the privatization process in October 2014 after an aborted tender effort in 2013.
After years in the red, the airline has since managed to return operations to black figures during the last few years, presumably enhancing the prospects of a sale.
The carrier operates a fleet comprising 12 aircraft including six Airbus A320 Family aircraft and six Bombardier Q400 aircraft.
