Feb 10, 2015 (newstodate): Effective from February 1, 2015, the Chinese cargo carrier Yangtze River Express has named ProActive Airline Services its new GSSA in the Nordic region.
Under the contract, ProActive Airline Services will provide the carrier with cargo sales and marketing in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
The carrier is off-line in the Nordic region, so Nordic shipments will be trucked to and from its European hubs at Amsterdam and Frankfurt Hahn, served with Boeing 747 freighter flights from Tianjin and Shanghai.
Yangtze River Express Airlines, the first JV airline by investors from both Mainland China and Taiwan, operates a fleet comprising 21 aircraft including three Boeing 747-400F, 18 Boeing 737-30 freighter aircraft while one Airbus A330-200F has been leased out to another operator.
HNA Group owns 51 percent of the shares of Yangtze River Express while Taiwan's China Airlines and three other companies hold the minority stake.
