Feb 10, 2015 (newstodate): Sweden's Gothenburg Landvetter Airport has been hit hard by shortfall of cargo traffic over the last few years.
In January 2015, the airport handled a total of 1,015 tonnes of cargo, down 39 percent, y-o-y, according to Swedavia statistics.
From the start of 2014, Emirates reduced its freighter services at the airport from three to two weekly rotations and pulled out entirely from July 1, 2014, moving all Scandinavian freighter flights to Copenhagen instead.
Prior to that, Asiana also left Gothenburg Landvetter from September 7, 2012.
