Feb 25, 2015 (newstodate): Norway is keen to grow the positoin of its capital airport and the country's position in the global aviation market.
To further this process, Avinor has named Jasper Spruit as new director in charge of Avinor's domestic and international route development.
Taking up his new challenge from June 1, 2015, Mr Spruit comes from a position with Amsterdam Schiphol Airport as Director Marketing since November 2012, and prior to that he was Director Asian Development at Brisbane Airport for two years after having served with Amsterdam Schiphol Airport also as Director Aviation Marketing for two-and-a half years.
Oslo Gardermoen is currently amid a construction program resulting in the opening af a new terminal in 2017, lifting the total annual capacity to 30 mio passengers.
The airport is now served by 37 scheduled carriers operating 146 domestic and international routes, in addition to 28 charter operators and 11 all-cargo carriers.
