Dec 10, 2015 (newstodate): The Estonian carrier Nordic Aviation has landed its first contract with a tour operator.
Estonia's two largest ski holiday travel agencies Germalo and Mainor Meelis has contracted the carrier to operate charter flights to Milan Bergamo during the period February 20 to March 12, 2016, to Salzburg during the period February 20 to March 26, and to Geneva from March 19 to 26, 2016, in all cases with one weekly rotation.
After the demise of Estonian Air, Nordic Aviation started operating on November 8, 2015, and has been completing 726 flights and served 26,370 passengers in cooperation with Adria Airways during its first month of operations.
Nordic Aviation's flights are currently operated by partner airlines NextJet, BMI and Carpatair, but the company hopes to get its first aircraft with an Estonian crew in the air at the beginning of the new year.
The company will then gradually transfer to using its own fleet based on the availability of aircraft and the training plans of Estonian crews, and the company hopes to introduce the full brand of the new airline by summer 2016.
