Dec 15, 2015 (newstodate): Braathens Aviation has signed a supplementary contact with ATR for more new ATR-72-600 aircraft.
Earlier this year, the carrier signed a firm order for five aircraft with options for a further 10 units - and the decision has now been made to activate four of these, bringing the fleet of new aircraft to nine that will be operated by the group's subsidiary airline Braathens Regional Airlines, soon to be branded BRA.
The nine aircraft will be delivered in 2016, replacing the aging Saab 2000s and, in a second step, ATR 72-500 aircraft.
