Dec 03, 2015 (newstodate): The Hungarian LCC Wizz Air announced on December 2, 2015, further growth to its route network from Macedonia with three new services at Skopje Airport, opened as its 17th base on October 28, 2012.
Wizz Air will connect the Macedonian capital with Berlin Schoenefeld from March 21, 2016, while the new Skopje services to Copenhagen and Bratislava will commence on March 22 and 28, respectively, all served with two weekly rotations.
With these new routes, Wizz Air will be offering a total of 24 routes to 11 countries from its two Macedonian airports, Skopje and Ohrid.
In Denmark, Wiss Air is already present at Billund Airport while the flight to Copenhagen will mark the carrier's debut in the Danish capital region.
Copenhagen Airport will then have all major European LCCs operating, including Norwegian, easyJet, Vueling, Ryanair, Transavia and - soon to come - Wizz Air.
