Dec 15, 2015 (newstodate): Emirates Airlines sees huge untapped potentials in air traffic with China - but considers the existing air services agreement signed in 2013 out of date.
The carrier currently has access to operate its Airbus A380 aircraft between Dubai and Beijing and Shanghai in China, but would be eager to add similar flights to a number of secondary Chinese destinations currently out of reach.
On the cargo side, Emirates SkyCargo is to add four weekly services to Yinchuan and Zhengzhou from May 3, 2016, increasing its cargo destinations in China to five, including the existing services to Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
According to data provided by Emirates, air cargo volumes carried between the two markets accrued to 103,000 tonnes over the 12 months period to March 31, 2015.
