Dec 02, 2015 (newstodate): The German MRO Haitec, located at Frankfurt Hahn Airport, has proved a prime choice for maintenance of Icelandic aircraft.
The latest new Icelandic customer with Haitec is Icelandair that has signed a contract for C-checks on its fleet of Boeing 757 aircraft.
Iceland has become a significant and strategic growth market for Haitec as the MRO now provides maintenance services to the country's three major airlines Air Atlanta Icelandic, WOW Air and now also Icelandair.
At Hahn, Haitec is currently constructing a new 17,000 sq m hangar expected to become operational in summer 2016, allowing the company to more than double its slot availability.
Other MRO customers with Haitec include carriers Danish Air Transport, Jet Time, Gazpromavia, Privilege Style, Midroc Aviation and Iraqi Airways.
