Dec 15, 2015 (newstodate): Kazakhstan is evaluating options for development of its future air traffic hub at Almaty, hiring Lufthansa Consulting to assist in the process.
Under the contract, Lufthansa Consulting will evaluate proposals offered by various investors for either upgrading the existing international airport at Almaty, or the construction of an entirely new airport.
The proposals so far on the table including bids by the Kazakh-Qatari consortium MG Holding, the Kazakh-Chinese company Tengri Holding, Singapore's Changi Airports International, the French Vinci Group, and the company GMR Airports.
The evaluation is now in its final phase, and Lufthansa Consulting will present the results before the end of this year.
