Dec 11, 2015 (newstodate): The Star Alliance carrier Brussels Airlines has decided to pull out from the Latvian market.
With a first flight by the start of the 2014 winter schedule, Brussels Airlines has been providing six weekly rotations between Brussels and Riga with Avro RJ100 aircraft, but the service will stop from January 11, 2016.
Alone on the route is again the Latvian carrier airBaltic that started flights from Riga to Brussels from September 1, 2003, offering several daily connections in a code-share agreement with Brussels Airlines.
