Dec 03, 2015 (newstodate): Starting from May 2016, Latvia's Riga Airport will get a new direct air link to Linkoping, in Sweden.
Operating the route with a SAAB 340A aircraft will be the Latvian carrier RAF-Avia, currently operating cargo services feeding integrators including DHL and TNT, but now to add passenger flights as well.
-The 25th Anniversary of RAF-Avia on the aviation market will be marked by expanding its operations with the opening of passenger routes. The SAAB 340 is planned to connect Riga and possibly Lijepaja with Linkoping and some other destinations in neighboring Baltic countries, says Anatolijs Jerumanis, RAF-Avia Chairman of the Board.
In the fleet of RAF-Avia are now five AN-26 and two SAAB 340 freighter aircraft.
