Nov 25, 2015 (newstodate): Bombardier is flying the new CS100 aircraft to Riga, in Latvia, for a presentation on November 27, 2015.
At Riga Airport, airBaltic CEO Martin Gauss and Bombardier Vice President & General Manager for CSeries Aircraft Program, Rob Dewar and his team will present the new CS100 and CS300 Customer Aircraft at a press event and conduct a tour on board the CS100.
airBaltic is to be the world's first operator of the larger version of the aircraft, the CS300 with first delivery slated for H2, 2016, and the carrier has placed orders for a total of 13 aircraft, with options for a further seven units that may be either CS300 or CS100.
The CS100 performed its virgin flight on September 16, 2013, and is currently concluding its series of tests before certification expected by the end of 2015.
Bombardier announced in March 2015 that entry into service of the CS100 with Swiss will be early 2016.
