Nov 17, 2015 (newstodate): The Swedish/British carrier West Atlantic has now taken delivery of its second Boeing 767-200F freighter, placed on Swedish aircraft registry.
Like the first aircraft, the wide-body freighter is sourced from West Atlantic's partner, the Ohio-based Air Transport Services Group ATSG that took a 25 percent stake in the Gothenburg-based West Atlantic Group in December 2013.
The new freighter will presumably be operating on an ACMI contract with TNT at this carrier's European hub at Liege Airport.
West Atlantic has further announced plans for taking in a third Boeing 767-200F by Q2, 2016, and Russell Ladkin, West Atlantic Marketing & Sales Director, earlier this year told newstodate of the company's plans to add two or three more aircraft per year, ending up with a fleet around six Boeing 767-200 and 767-300 freighters.
In the fleet of West Atlantic are also now nine Boeing 737SF aircraft, with two more on the horizon, as well as three CRJ200LR and 33 ATP freighter aircraft.
