Nov 27, 2015 (newstodate): The new Estonian airline Nordic Aviation is pulling out from serving Copenhagen due to strong competition on the route.
-As a result of the changed competitive situation, Nordic Aviation has decided to stop organizing flights on the Copenhagen route from November 30, 2015, the company says in a release.
As Estonian Air folded its wings on November 7, 2015, Nordic Aviation started to offer three daily rotations to to Copenhagen, four daily flights to Stockholm and two daily flights to Oslo.
Trailing closely behind, SAS entered the market by offering four daily rotations on the route between Stockholm and Tallinn, three daily rotations between Tallinn and Copenhagen, and one daily flights connecting Tallinn and Oslo.
Besides closing down operations from Tallinn to Copenhagen, Nordic Aviation changing its services to Stockholm to three daily rotations on working days and two daily rotations on weekends.
Nordic Aviation will come out with announcements on new routes before the end of this year, utilizing the capacity now freed on the existing network.
One new route from Tallinn to Munich is to open from November 29, 2015, as earlier announced.
