Nov 20, 2015 (newstodate): Budapest Airport has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with a Chinese partner, Ningbo International Airport & Logistics Development Company.
The new strategic cooperation aims at setting up a future direct freighter connections between Budapest and Ningbo, near Shanghai, that is one of China's most expansive industrial and business regions.
In 2014, Ningbo International Airport handled 6.36 million passengers, and approximately 113,000 tonnes of air cargo.
The airport's 3,200 m long runway is capable of handling all types of cargo aircraft.
The airport plans to increase passenger traffic to 12 million and cargo
volumes to 500,000 tonnes by 2020
