Nov 09, 2015 (newstodate): Poland's Gdansk Airport is to cement its cooperation with DHL through the construction of a new dedicated cargo terminal.
Construction works on the coming new 2,00 sq m cargo terminal will be completed by early 2018, and the airport will invest in the project alongside with DHL.
With the planned new cargo terminal, DHL will have three dedicated facilities in Poland to serve its traffic between the Baltic region and the hub at Leipzig, Germany.
At Katowice, construction is already in process for a new cargo DHL facility, and at Warsaw Chopin airport the ground handling company LS Airport Services is also building a cargo terminal dedicated to serving DHL.
DHL Express has been operating at Gdansk Airport since 1993 and consistently contributes over half of the airport's total cargo volume.
