Oct 27, 2015 (newstodate): Yesterday, October 26, was a great day at Sweden's Orebro Airport that regained its direct air connection with Denmark's Copenhagen Airport.
The service on the route has been launched with a CRJ700 aircraft operated by Estonian Air after winning the tender opened by Orebro Airport.
The route was left without service for more than two years since NextJet pulled out due to lack of profitability, and travelers from the region have thus had to reach international connections at Copenhagen Airport through detours by other airports.
The new air service is backed financially by the regional governments in an effort to boost local industries and tourism.
Estonian Air took delivery of two CRJ700 aircraft in September, adding to its fleet of three larger CRJ900 aircraft.
