Oct 25, 2015 (newstodate): Maybe the Russian media are right, maybe wrong, as they speculate on which Western airline will be first to take the Superjet 100 aircraft.
According to Novosti, Russia's Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov has indicated that a British carrier will be first - or maybe he was just misinterpreted as he said that the contract would be written "in English".
According to Novosti, a firm contract will be signed before the end of 2015, comprising delivery of five Superjet 100 aircraft.
Readers of newstodate are better informed, however, as newstodate has already revealed that Greenland Express is the company first out to take five aircraft on a leasing contract with Ilyushin Finance Co, with the first aircraft to be handed over by Q2, 2016.
