Oct 15, 2015 (newstodate): As expected, the Latvian carrier airBaltic is also not sitting idly on the fence watching the freeze of direct air links by Ukrainian and Russian carriers between the two countries.
From the end of September 2015l, the carrier has thus increased frequencies on its routes to the two countries, currently offering five daily flights from Riga Airport to Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport as well as two daily rotations in the route between Riga and Moscow Vnukovo Airport.
The carrier also operates two daily rotations between Riga and Kiev, thus being in a favorable position to transfer passengers between the two countries using Riga Airport as an efficient turn-table.
