Oct 26, 2015 (newstodate): The rejuvenated Czech carrier CSA is planning for a busy year in 2016.
On the agenda is the resumption of flights services from Prague to a range of destinations in the Balkan region, where operations were suspended in the earlier years.
CSA thus plans to open three destinations in the region including four weekly flights to Zagreb from April 27, 2016, four weekly flights to Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina from May 19, 2016, and three weekly flights to Skopje in Macedonia from May 19, 2016.
The carrier is also going against the current tide by planning for an expansion of services to Russia in 2016.
In summer 2016, the company will launch seasonal flights to Kaliningrad and Kazan, actually planned for this year already but postponed due to the unruly situation.
From April 27, 2016, CSA will also resume flights to Ufa, and also plans for a return to Minsk in Belarus, and to Odessa, in Ukraine.
