Oct 30, 2015 (newstodate): News from Sweden's Orebro Airport that Estonian Air will hand over the contract for flights on the new route to Copenhagen to Estonia's "shadow airline" has not made Nordic Aviation Group happy..
The route was opened on October 2015, operated by Estonian Air's CRJ700 aircraft, but the contract has been handed over to Nordic Aviation Group that has been set up by the state to take over from Estonian Air if the imminent EU verdict goes against Estonia.
-We are not happy to see the information from Orebro Airport. It is still too early to make any statements and we would rather leave this till the EU Commission has announced its decision on Estonian Air, says Erik Sakkov, Nordic Aviation Group CCO.
According to Orebro Airport's information on facebook, the flights will be continued by Adria Airways acting as the operational partner of Nordic Aviation Group.
