Oct 08, 2015 (newstodate): Icelandair Cargo is not overly open when it comes to reporting actual developments in the cargo volumes carried.
The closest look into the monthly statistics will provide only figures on ATK and RTK, with no further details added.
In September 2015, the carrier thus produced 19,825,000 ATKs while the figure for RTKs is 8,353,000.
The production, however, increased by 15 percent, while sold tonnage was up only five percent, y-o-y.
In January-September the discrepancy is even more marked, with production increasing 13 percent while sold tonnage was up only one percent, indicating a sustained slide in load factor.
