Oct 30, 2015 (newstodate): The German subsidiary of Lithuania's charter and ACMI provider Small Planet Airlines has come off to a strong start in 2015.
Small Planet Airlines GmbH has landed an agreement with Thomas Cook to operate flights from its Paderborn base in Germany to Mediterranean resorts.
Under the agreement Small Planet Airlines GmbH will operate 460 flights from Paderborn and other Germanys airports including Bremen, Berlin, Stuttgart, Dortmund, Cologne, Hanover, and Munich, estimating to carry over 100,000 passengers during the summer season.
The companys first flight in Germany was made earlier this month after signing an agreement with an air broker Involatus Carrier Consulting GmbH.
Small Planet Airlines GmbH has also signed an agreement with TUI Deutschland.
Small Planet Airlines Germany expects to receive its own AOC by the start of the summer season 2016.
Based in Berlin with two Airbus A320 aircraft from the start, Small Planet Airlines Germany is managed by Andreas Wobig and Oliver Pawel, former Germania CEO and CCO.
