Oct 12, 2015 (newstodate): Despite an improved world economy, but maybe due to certain unsolved political crises, the volume of corporate flights in Europe has decreased.
According to the latest statistics from WINGX, the total number of corporate and business aviation flights was down four percent, y-o-y, in September, and the over-all trend for 2015 is now minus 1.4 percent, compared to 2014.
Among the markets to see decline was, notably, Russia that was down 20 percent, y-o-y, and Turkey, down 11 percent.
The core of the decline was in the business jet fleet, flights down eight percent in September, and specifically, Heavy Jets where activity was down almost 15 percent.
In particular, Heavy Jet charters fell almost 20 percent, y-o-y.
Turboprop activity was slightly behind this month but has retained its YTD recovery trend.
