Oct 01, 2015 (newstodate): The Danish charter and ACMI carrier DAT intends to keep its Airbus fleet unchanged in 2016.
-We did consider adding a sixth Airbus A320 to the fleet in 2016, but we have decided not to, unless of course, some extraordinary situation arises, says Jesper Rungholm, DAT CEO.
-We are now operating five Airbus A320 aircraft and this will remain unchanged for the summer 2016 season as well. We have expanded our business significantly over a fairly short period of time, increasing total staff to more than 430 employees, and we now have the need to consolidate our organization rather than keeping adding new challenges.
-Also earlier thoughts about considering the Airbus A321 aircraft in the fleet of DAT will remain on the shelf, says Mr Rungholm.
DAT took delivery of its first Airbus A320 in June 2014 and received its 5th aircraft only in September 2015.
