Oct 28, 2015 (newstodate): Starting from May 3, 2015, British Airways will launch flights to Billund Airport, in western Denmark, from London Heathrow.
The flights will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft, and the schedule will comprise 11 weekly rotations.
The new BA service builds on two decades of cooperation with its franchise partner, Sun-Air that has performed flights on behalf of BA from Danish airports Aalborg, Aarhus and Billund to a range of destinations in northern Europe.
The opening of the new route is part of BA's Scandinavian strategy that has also resulted in increases in frequencies on routes between the UK and Gothenburg and Stockholm, as well as the opening of flights between Keflavik and London.
British Airways also operates scheduled flights on routes to Oslo, Bergen and Stavanger in Norway, to Helsinki in Finland, and to Copenhagen, Denmark.
