Jan 08, 2015 (newstodate): Despite the effects from a declining economy and Western embargoes, cargo on Russian carrier was up 6.5 percent, y-o-y, during January-November 2014.
A total of 924,684 tonnes of cargo was carried by the 35 carriers included in the statistics.
Increasing their share of the market, the Top-5 carriers accounted for 736,497 tonnes, corresponding to 78.2 percent of the total volume against 76.4 percent one year earlier.
ABC secured further growth, up 21.2 percent, y-o-y, to 471,977 tonnes, Aeroflot was down 19.1 percent due to the abolition of cargo flights, to 130,839 tonnes, Transaero was up only 1.1 percent to 62,947 tonnes, Volga-Dnepr was down 24.6 percent to 37,421 tonnes, and S7 was up 2,0 percent to 33,314 tonnes.
Top performer on the list is still #11, Atran up 247,1 percent during the period to 11,280 tonnes, serving its Volga-Dnepr Group with regional and domestic logistics for the e-trade shipments on ABC Airlines.
